    Bonnie,
    Yikes - great to know
I have ordered from them before.
It was a ficus plant ....a taller species used for bonsai.
I really don't remember how long it took, nor do I remember any details as to the root development.
The plant did so well, and got so big for the tank it was in; I have since pulled it and have it right next to me on my desk.
But then they didn't take care of ; I did.

I'll tell one thing.....the site is enough to drive me crazy ! Soooooo much.

    Thanks for the tip, Bonnie
    How's that beautiful greenhouse going?
How about some new pics, you can bump that nice thread you had going.

I think if I had a greenhouse I would learn all about begonias ---the leaves are so gorgeous!

Oh..... I should share something with you
About 3 months ago , I picked up a very large, overgrown, poorly groomed, norigella bromalaid at the supermarket ( of all places). I paid $12. Got home and pulled it apart........I put the pcs that were in soil - into new soil. I mounted 7 small pups !
I imagined, at the time it was doomed !
Well , turns out, this is the first time I was really successful.
Since, I put a mounted pup in each of my dart enclosures.
The one I put in the 'Mint' P terribilis tank is the largest. Take a peak.
I'm hoping it will continue to do well ? Fingers crossed. Any tips ?

Oh .. the lance leaf. I guess I will just bite the bullet and get them from Black Jungle.
Every plant I have purchased from them is carefully packed, healthy, and always does well! Or I could hold out for a White Plains show as the are always there; that way I can
hand- pick and get ones that I can obviously divided when re-potting.

I still have some plants from glasshouse works in a quarantine tank, ordered them back in March I believe, got them in June, some are an ok size, some are unrooted cuttings, it all just depends on what they already had started when they pull your order I guess. I've already done a round of short term systemic to get rid of most of the bugs, going to do a insecticidal soap dip before I trust them out in the greenhouse though.

The only brom tips I really have for dividing plants is to use a really well draining soil for the pups while you wait to mount them, I use a mix of equal parts peat moss, perlite, and orchid bark.

I have about 30 more orchids to mount and hang in the greenhouse today, maybe once I'm done with that I'll get some more pics. We're building another greenhouse next week, this one will be about 2 feet wider and the ceiling will be over 3 feet taller, so lots more hanging room, I'm excited! I'll make sure to get some pics of the begonias, they're kind of swallowing that bench, and there's a really really pretty one under the bench.
