Red eye? C. aurita

I received a group of aurita's not too long ago. I was concerned with one of them from the get-go as it appears it has a black eye and a red eye. Not sure if this is normal or if this is some sort of infection? The only reason I'm asking is because all my other aurita's all have black eyes. The eyes are proportional to each other, no bulging, and husbandry is on point. He or she is quite the little monster. Hopefully someone can chime in. Pictures are posted below.

No worries there. This is a sign of this particular frog having the Albino gene. Which in this species is quite possibly very valuable. I do not know the exact term, but it looks like a form of Herterochromia which is basically when one iris is a different color from the other, but with one Albino eye and one normal eye I do not know the exact term.

This is very interesting and is no cause for alarm. Not and infection but a genetic mutation that is quite facinating. You will need to treat this frog as if it were an albino and not use UVB or daylight bulbs of any kind. Only use Infrared or Ceramic Heat Emitters. If you are using lights as a supplemental heat source. You don't want him to go blind in that eye.

As grif said it is a cross genetic type of situation. You might have seen cats and even humans with this same condition.
