Then you should put him back outside. You should never put a new frog in with your existing frog(s) without a quarantine period of at least 30 days.

Assuming you 'normal green frog' is a Hyla cinerea, then yes these are species that some experience keepers have successfully kept together. However, mixing species is not something someone new to keeping frogs should really ever do- you'll have no way of knowing if it's behavior is 'off' as you have no idea what it's normal behavior should be. If you want to keep a Gray, Get a separate tank ready before you acquire one.
