Default New to the frog world

I'm Kimberly, and I'm from South Carolina. My kids and I were outside, and found a ton of tadpoles in our yard from our kiddy pool after I had dumped it (it has been raining a ton here lately, and I hadn't been able to clean it in a while.) I caught about 11 of them to save, and put them in a bowl until I was able to get them a tank. Now they are currently in a 2.5g tank, with some gravel and a fake plant they can hide in, but I have a 10g that will be used for when they get their hind legs, so I can fit more perch rocks in them.

I'm not completely sure what kind they are, either green tree frogs or bull frogs. After they morph, I'm probably going to set them free. Figure it'll be a good learning experience for my kids while my husband is out of the country. Name: 1077138_644155982262543_157222153_o.jpg

Welcome to the forum! I am a new member too! Out of curiosity, what are you feeding your new tadpoles?

    Welcome to the forum!

Those are likely either tree frogs or more likely toad tads. Bullfrogs seldom lay anywhere other then a permanent water source like a pond.

Ah! Thanks! We have lots of tree frogs and toads around here, so nothing to really give me a better idea. I've never seen a bullfrog in our yard, but I hear them occasionally.

I ran by Petsmart to get a tank for them, and asked them what they thought. They said someone had recently come in and gotten this tadpole, frog, and newt food for their tadpoles. It's made by All Living Things. They're a little too big for the tadpoles, so I crush them up first.
