Silly me...mr tries to be good at everything frog keeping wise....totally messed up and injured one of my frogs 2 days ago =(.
I was feeding my subadult red eye tree frogs and I went to close the tank door and all of the sudden I here this new red eye call I have NEVER heard before and it was a very DISTURBING call at that!!! EAAR WRENCHING!! I opened the door immediately and notice one of my juveniles has his leg in-between the glass door and side bulkhead. It started bleeding and noticed I lacerated his leg. I didn't break any bones thank god!! I feel horrible! Just tears me apart.
Thanks to this frog forum and the common medical treatment posts that were made by Lynn I was able to get medical aid for my little guy right away. VETERIACIN/NEOSPORIN without pain relief/ hospital tank and all that jazz.
For all of you guys that don't know Lynn has helped me on one other instance by sending me a special tool via mail to my house which enabled me to force feed my old "DIXIE" (Blue phase) Red Eye Tree Frog that passed away last spring due to red leg disease. Due to her efforts and training i was able to learn how to force feed a frog without causing injury to my frog and how to properly set up a hospital tank for all my other frogs so I could properly disinfect and treat my other enclosure so my other frogs wouldn't catch anything. Her efforts alone helped save my other 15 Red eye Tree frogs and HUNDREDS OF MY HARD EARNED DOLLARS.
So thanks Lynn for being here on the forum sharing your knowledge. I as a commercial breeder and hobbyist thank you for your time and effort being here. If you would like I will MAIL you a FREE frog OR TWO of your choice that I have here at CJ's Frogs at NO COST TO YOU if you wish for your efforts here helping other frog hobbyist, breeders, and myself. IF you chose to not want it, I will send it to you think would be a good parent of the frog(s). Thanks again Lynn....without you I probably would have lost my baby as well.
2 days later Hes walking around normal and still a happy little guy...still lacerated leg but noticeably healing.

Thanks Corey,
I'm glad to hear you baby is ok !
The darn enclosures doors can be a 'froggy' hazard.......for sure!
Especially the exo-terra doors.
I'll take this opportunity to say 2 things:
1 ---- If you were not PREPARED ( ahead of time ) your frog would have an infection.
Which is why we have a stickies such as these:

2 --- Without the help of moderator peers and members, Frog Forum would not be ...........well Frog Forum
WE all save a lot of frogs !
