The genetics involved with frogs are totally different than tarantulas... also, if you mean crossing different species when you say mix-breed, that will just end up with one dead spider and one well-fed one.

Breeding pacs is very complicated, which is why very few people do it.

I don't know what specific morphs you're talking about, but I think a lot of the most unique frogs you see from samurai are mutants in the samurai blue line (someone correct me if I'm wrong, I don't really keep up with the genetics for pacs). In other words, no way to predict when you're going to get one or what it's going to look like.

Well you got your morphs, and then you got your hybrids. Morphs are different colors, and hybrids are mixxed species pacman frogs which if I understand correctly you need hormones to make.

Can't tell you. I'm no breeder. But I think it has something to do whith what they are fed.

Fantasy is an example of a hybrid. Its a cranwelli x cornuta mix. A morph would be like an albino or brown or green coloring.

Your hybrids are usually sterile and generally have poor health. Although I've heard that fantasy frogs are pretty stable.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone. All I have is my brown cranwelli. It doesn't get more basic in morphs than that.

Morphs are genetic birth defects of a single species in most cases. Most of these genetic birth defects started off by purposely inbreeding.

There is only two morphs that produce the types of mutants you mentioned and those color morphs are of C.cranwelli.

They are a mutant color morph known as Phantoms. Mutants are only produced by breeding Samurai Blue to Samurai Blue which are a special genetic color morph produced by Nuance Herptile Farm and their satalite in the US is known as Samurai Japan. Some Samurai Lime Green albino breedings produce mutants, but far fewer than the Sam Blue breedings produce.

Hybrids are normally less desireable due to most not being cost affective. They are highly low yield and normally have weakened immune systems and overall poor health. The Green Apple Pacman C. cranwelli x C. joazeirensis is the pinicle of a unstable hybrid. Most never reach adulthood due to health problems that are genetic.

Why not? Its not like the nutritional value gos down just because they inbreed. Most of the feeders out their today inbreed in a colony. I'm sure the crickets at the pet store inbreed as well.

Inbred feeders are what you have been offering. All feeders you purchase are inbred. This is a natural occurence not only in CB feeders but wild insects too. It makes no difference whether they are inbred of not. It changes nothing.

Nature can be nasty at times

Again almost every morph originated from unbred animals.
