    Default Spiders

Wasn't sure where to put this. It's not really a "feeder" question and I don't think it's an enclosure question. Here goes:

In the room that I keep my baby blue eyed whites, I have developed a problem with tiny house spiders. Mostly they have been on the ceiling but I have found some random ones near the frog tank. This morning I killed one that was in the vivarium while I was cleaning it and noticed that there is actually a spider web starting inside the viv. I'm hoping I killed the spider that made the web. Do I need to worry about these guys around my frogs? I don't think the frogs are what made the spiders come to the room since they don't concentrate around the vivarium. Plus my big frogs are in another room and there are no spiders there.

Funny thing is, I have two tanks full of crickets in my house and I'm okay with that but little tiny spiders has me completely freaked out! I HATE spiders! I haven't slept in my bed for 3 nights because I saw one of them was on my headboard!

Most frogs eat spiders in the wild; but there are spiders that could hurt or even kill a frog (i.e. tarantulas). Also, there is a frog/spider species combination that lives together in a mutually beneficial relation.

Just to be sure, would not let spiders get inside the frogs enclosure and remove any that does. Good luck Patsy !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I'm trying my best, LOL! So far it was only one in the viv and one on the outside glass. I vacuumed the entire room and each day I am seeing less. I'm hoping that this cool spell we are getting now is going to kill them off!
