So, I decided to redecorate Hypno's home, the second I moved the plant in, she lunged for it. Had a leaf in her mouth. I gently slid it out of her mouth, while spraying her with water :P
So, my question is, was this just a healthy feeding response? am I underfeeding her?
I feed 15 minutes, twice a week (wednesday and saturday), I use locusts as staple, with the monthly mouse and occasional variation.
It just seems that the day after I feed her, she can still eat alot more, should I be switching to 3 days a week? Or is this just normal pacman behaviour?
I've had her for an estimated 6-7 months, bought her as a teenager.
Edit: Might be of some importance: She is super lazy and never even uses her water dish, she just poops and kicks it behind her when she does.
That's how lazy she is. And for this plant, I was about 20CM minimum above her head, she actually leaped into the air and grabbed on.

If she is still acting hungry then feed her 3 times per week. That is a healthy feeding responce though. Many will even attack shadows.
I used to have a chameleon that would try and eat hair.
Lol, well, I just fed her medium sized locusts I had left (fresh out of everything, trip planned tomorrow to restock.) She ate 5, so sizewise, 3 big ones.
I've simply added mondays to my schedule. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks for the help guys![]()
Hey are locusts what americans call grasshoppers?
No, Locust are bigger I think.
Actually, the ones I have are smaller, desert locusts. But I do see a typo I made, I use grasshoppers as staple. Used locusts because I was out of hoppers.

Lol!! Locusts and Grasshoppers are the same thing. They are all in the same family. Although the larger much better fliers are usually called Locusts. Some people even call Cicadas Locusts even though they technically are not.
Yeah crickets are nasty little things.
