Went out an got an 18x18x12 exo terra for my frog Mojo yesterday. Here us my set up.
For lighting/heating I'm using a 40 watt energy saving white lighbulb for my day heat and day cycle. Its attatched to a dimmer and a timer. For additional heating I have a 40 watt red incandescent bulb attached to a hygrotherm. With the hygrotherm the red bulb turns on and off as needed to maintain proper heating of 82-84 degrees for day and 77-78 degrees at night. I have my shade areas under my day time lights.
For humidity I'm using a reptifogger which is also attached to the hygrotherm. It maintains a 75-80 percent himidity at all times. For the top of the enclose I'm using two cut pieces of plexiglass taped with duck tape. One has vent holes drilled in it. I'm not currently liking the plexiglass. Going to switch it out with something else.
For my decorations I have a vine shruby thing that is suction cupped to the side and is kinda on top of a little tree log. Then a little farther to the left another plant. This way Mojo has plenty of places to hide. His water dish is one of the in the ground water dishes.
I know I'm supposed to cover three sides of the tank with a cover. The pet store that has them here was closed. I will be getting another jungle cover this morning for the third side.
Now here is the wierd/good thing. I fed Mojo his pinky rat two nights ago (pet store was out of pinky mice). As soon as I put Mojo in his new home, I dropped some vitamin coated crickets in the enclosure and he started scooping them up. Guess he likes his new home! Here are some pics.

Looks good! Think this size enclosure with front doors is excellent for adult Pacmans, specially the larger females.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Cool indeed. I keep my Pyxie in one of those. I love being able to get in there and work without having to take off the lamps like I used t have to do with her old 15-gallon tank.
Love it, looks awesome, i too love the front door access on my enclosures

I just bought the same tank 2 weeks ago for my adult female Ornate Aileron. Haven't set it up yet though.
Hope its not too big for my male cranwelli. He fluctuates in size from 3.25 inches to almost 4 when he is full. Still tweaking the humidity. The reptifogger goes off every couple minutes. I got a few ideas though.
I also have worries about using destilled water in the fogger. I don't want it to break but I don't want to suck the nutrients out of Mojo either.
nice enclosure, love it! one of those you can use as an example on how to set up pacman frog!
and by the way it is exact size my big ornate is living in. I hate prexi too, so i just ducktaped food type foil to the screen top, easy and works![]()
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
I'm trying out saran wrap at the moment. Humidity is still dropping too fast. I think I'm going to do the whole top in foil and cut out two holes the size of my lights then poke some small holes for ventilation.
that is pretty much what i did too, but without small holes. i covered the whole top with foil, cut holes bigger then need to for lamps for ventilation, cut hole and ducktaped hose from a fogger. this way set up holds humidity pretty well, lots of people use plastic wrap, i never liked it, foil look better to me and it is easier to cut holes, make them bigger or smaller if need to be.

Not too familiar with mold. Its white mold right? And what should I do if I see any? Scoop it out or full substrate change? I'm needing to cover more of the top becuase reptifogger is going off every two or three minutes
I might end up moving Mojo to a different room. I don't mind the reptifogrrr going off so much. Just hearing it go on and off all night when I'm trying to sleep.
Couple pics of Mojo after his soak in his new enclosure. It is natual for pacman frogs to fade in color as they get older right? Mojo has been getting lighter coloring every week it seems.![]()
Mojo looks great. They can lighten or darken. Many will darken on coco fiber and lighten in paper towels. So long as they're healthy it's fine.

Mojo is thriving! Good job Danfrog!
Its amazing how small they look after pooping. Ill try and get a pic of him when he is full of worms. He looks huge when he is full!
