So, I just found out this morning that my bullfrog, Gnag, has some kind of nematode floating around his tank. They're very small, white, and S shaped and very active, swimming through the current although not very well. However, Gnag is acting completely normal, eating normally, is as plump and fit as ever, and his feces are for the most part firm (and massive,) and I have not specifically seen the worms in any of Gnag's recent feces. I also have not done a 50% water change for about 2 weeks due to the recent vacation I went on. And I believe I may have seen these worms once before when I was keeping them both in the 20 Gallon as froglets and I was in a similar situation with the water changes.
But, I would appreciate some advice on what to do. I've not got a whole lot of money, but I can get Gnag a fecal exam and some Panacur-C as well. I don't want to stress him out, however, and he's eating and acting completely normal. So here's what I plan to do:
1. Do at least 30 90% water changes, stirring up the gravel, and keeping Gnag in a seperate container during this process.
2. Getting a fecal exam done. If it comes up positive, or negative, I will:
A. It turns out positive, so I will continue repeating the large water changes and give Gnag treatment whilst keeping him in his regular tank, as I do not want to stress him out.
B. It if turns out negative, I will keep on doing the large water changes for 2 weeks, every other day.
I am also thinking of picking up some "Parasite Guard". I've heard that it works effectively against parasites in Aquariums. Would this work?
I DO NOT want to clean out the entire tank. I can take out the gravel in the water section, but as for the land/driftwood section I will flush it out repeatedly.

Those are probably white planaria worms that feed on excess nutrients. Pimafix solution (at fish aquarium strength) will kill them; but wiping them out might create a mini cycle and increase the levels of ammonia and nitrites. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
I'm not sure if they're Planaria, they're not sticking to the glass as I've heard Planaria often do. But none of them seem to be coming from Gnag's feces, nor is Gnag acting or eating differently. Is it possible they're just some kind of scavenger that works similar to Springtails? I might do a bit more research on this...
UPDATE:
Well, after doing my bit of research I think they are free-floating nematodes or midge larva. Either way, they are no harm, which is extremely relievingI thought they were parasitic worms or something when I first saw them
even so, I'm going to try and get rid of them by doing constant water changes. Did a big one today, it helped.
Thanks,
Caspian
