I was looking at my green tree frog this morning, and noticed that while he was currently colored brown, he had a bright green spot on his back for some reason. Upon closer inspection, there's a black line running through that spot that looks like a cut. There's no blood, and it doesn't seem to be an open wound. I put some Neosporin on the spot to prevent infection. I don't know if there's anything else I can do to help though?
I'm thinking that one of the plastic plants in his terrarium scratched him maybe. I'm replacing them all with silk though now. I guess his skin isn't as tough as my tomato frogs'. I couldn't find anything else in his terrarium that could cause the cut. So yeah, kind of scary. Here's a pic below. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for him. =(

That definitely looks like it is from a plastic plant. I know the ones that I had in my whites enclosure left marks like that on them if they had been leaning against the plant for a while. Is the black mark still there?
Sorry for the overly late reply. x.x
He's all healed up now. He healed up within 24 hours actually. I put more Neosporin on him though. He's doing okay now though. Still his usual self, croaking happily. I took out all the plastic plants though, and now he has nice, soft silk ones around.
Glad your frog is doing well. FYI, there is another antibacterial that works well on amphibians, it's Bactine. Safe and effective for abrasions, cuts and minor infections.
