    Default Injured toad won't eat

Found a toad with what appears to be a broken leg, (thread here:http://www.frogforum.net/general-dis...roken-leg.html)
I have it in a sterile setup, keeping the paper towels moist etc, and put neosporin without pain killers on its wound. Ever since I switched it to the new habitat it hasn't had interest in eating. When I first caught it I saw it eat a pinhead cricket, now it won't even go for them. Needing advice. Could it just be stressed from the change in habitat?

Its most likely that and unfortunately it might not get used to it soon. I once changed my pacman frogs substrate to reptile carpet from a natural soil substrate and he wouldn't eat at all so I changed it back to sol and he started eating again. It's either your little guy doesn't like change or he wants his natural setup back but that will be harder to kee clean. You do have a hide for it right?

Yes, he spends all his time there, never comes out. Although he wasn't in the natural setup for long I'm not sure why he has lost interest in eating. I don't handle him and try as much as possible not to stress him out.

Since he's wild caught he won't be used to being in the paper towels, its used to nature. He may eat over time if he gets used to it. He probably comes out at night when your asleep.

Do you think he will get used to it? I was thinking about trying flightless fruit flies, but I'm not sure if it would make a difference or not.

I don't know if he will get used to it or not but it is worth trying fruit flies. Some of my pets will go nuts over some insects but not even touch others.
