If there are broken bones or something of that magnitude, you would expect to see swelling. Also, in cases of broken bones, the frog wouldn't be able to move the broken limb. I'd say that if you don't see any swelling and the 'weak' leg can still move normally (just weaker than the right leg) then you're probably not looking at a break. A vet would be good, but if you can't get to one this might help you determine if there's a break or something.
If there's not an obvious injury, there's no way to tell what the problem is without a video of the frog moving.
The problem is that if the frog hasn't been accidentally dropped or something, just sitting in cocofiber shouldn't cause a break or dislocation. Is there anything in his cage he could jump off of or anything?
Yes, he might have hit vine that i am using to supply shade when jumping towards a cricket. I will post a video of his movements soon.
It looks like scoliosis to me, most likely caused by Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD). It could also have been caused by genetics or injury, but I would guess MBD. There do not appear to be any signs of impaction or broken/dislocated bones. Most frogs do have one side that is more developed than the other. That combined with the distorted hip is going to cause the frog to move different. S/he might have trouble making long lunges at food, shedding, or impaction. But with proper care, frogs with minor scoliosis can still live long, healthy lives.
You can not cure MBD, but you can lessen it and prevent further damage through proper supplementation. Dust his/her food with calcium with D3 three times a week (every other feeding) and with vitamin once a week (not on the same night as calcium). Keep a close eye on him/her and watch for any other symptoms that may arise. Please keep us posted.
