Monthly cleaning question.

Hey guys,

So the first monthly cleaning is coming up soon and I need to know some things .

1) I need hot treated water to scald the items inside the tank. Can I add repti safe to the hot water or I have to add it to cold water and heat it up? Just wondering if adding it to hot water affected the efficiency. How do you go about this.

2) How big does the container need to be to put my frogs in while I clean? I'm assuming it needs to be high enough so they don't jump out? If so how many inches.

I soak all my furniture in hot treated water while I'm cleaning. As for the enclosure I empty everything out and rinse then use this stuff as the directions state on the bottle.

then after it drys I put treated water in the enclosure and expand my substrate. Take the furniture out of soaking and let them dry. The put everything back the way it was.

I use a 9 x 12 Tupperware for soaks. I drill holes from the inside out in the lid so if the frog hops he won't get scratched. And I cover all four sides to minimize stress.

Do you put the cover on while the frog is in there?

Also can you treat the water while hot? Or you treat it first and then microwave it?

Yeah but I have a lot of holes in it. I just treat it hot.

Oh cool, for some reason I thought you couldn't add reptisafe to hot water....
