Unhappy Sad news - Goodby to Sage

I just got back from shopping to find Sage, one of my European Green Treefrogs, dead on his branch by the side of his favourite arboreal pool he looked peaceful as if he had gone to sleep. I had had no inkling that he was ill he was behaving normally and eating well. i don't suppose we will ever know what happened!

Not sure I lose track of when he arrived - tiny and newly grown - somewhere I have his papers as he was captive bred, he must have been 4 years but it could have been as many as 6 years, we will have a proper send off for him later the tank is awfully empty with just two frogs though I expect they will be pleased to get access to the top pool Sage always made sure he had possession and if one of the others had the audacity to use it he would sit on the side until they left, that was where I found him! I dont think he was ill though it is of course hard to be certain he has been a bit dark on occasion these last few days but it has been so hot he didnt like heat as we never have any here (wet and generally cold Uk) Im not set up to keep things cool - not been necessary! The other 2 look fine so far but Im watching them like a hawk.....

Oh thanks for thinking of him.
