Well, after a solid month of nothing but protein, Gherkin has plumped up nicely. He has eaten a total of 48 large earthworms, countless crickets, and two pinky mice in the last 4 weeks. Still won't touch a mealworm, though. He is now on a regular feeding schedule to match my other two. He has also rediscovered the joy of burying himself in the dirt-6 months stuck in a bathtub hindered his natural instinct to dig but he finally got those back legs working. I may be biased, but I think he is a very handsome frog!

. The mealworms don't move fast and Ive noticed it takes a while for any new frogs i have to realize they are food. If mealworms are in a warm temperature they move more or if they have a light on them. Just what I've found so maybe give that a try.

. Sounds like he doesn't need mealworms anyway. He's getting a good variety. I love his name by the way. very cool.
