Toads tend to be nocturnal, so that's just her active time. Have you had her a long time? If not, she might just be getting acclimated to her new home.
If it stays a big problem, you might want to move her cage from where you sleep, if possible.

Hi Logan! Does toad has enough substrate to borrow? If not, it could drive it's instincts to do what you are describing.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
You want to have at least 1.5 inch covering the toad once they have burrowed down deep. I've got at least a 5 inch base now, but I'm going to add a few more inches. They LOVE to have multiple tunnels in their viv.
