Help!?

I just moved the toad into her 20 gallon but she doesnt seem to like it, she keeps on trying to escape and running into her hide. I just fed her to show her she'll be okay but shes still scared. What should I do?

Give her time, I'm sure she will settle down.

They need a little time to feel safe in it. You can try keeping it really quiet and adding a background covering to the back and 2 sides. It makes them feel more secure.

You can also try setting it up very similar to how it was in the smaller tank.

How long can they stay in their burrows? Shes been in hers a while and Im quite scared.

Give her a day or two and if she doesn't come up just uncover her head and she if she'll come out.

Mine have gone under for days, weeks and during the winter months. Sink a feeder dish into the substrate so you can put fresh bugs out each night. This way you'll see if she's eating at night when you aren't around and also it keeps the "free runners" to a minimum. Small shallow glass dishes are easy to find at a dollar store if you don't have anything already.
