    Default American Toad

Does anyone in the Chicago area of Illinois have any male american toads the'd be willing to give away?

    Default American Toad

You shouldn't put a toad in with a tank mate. All toads secrete a poison that can easily kill or injure othere animals. You can keep one toad in a ten gallon.

You can keep the same species together.

ill just put in another pacman . Looks like i will have to get a juvenile and separate the tank until it is large enough to live with sam. By the way her last tank mates were American bullfrogs and they didn't harm each other at all.A lot has to do with the size of the tank mates .These animals do not live alone in their native habitat but they do eat anything small enough to fit ni their mouth when they are hungry. Sam wont eat crickets or worms or anything but mice nowadays. When shes really hungry she can eat 2 adult mice / Lately though she eats 1 every 2 months now that shes full grown and fat.

Pacman frogs are solitary frogs. Keeping them together will do more harm then good.
