exo 18x18x24 or 36x18x18

So the Petsmart near me has both on sale and in stock right now.
18x18x24 - $82
36x18x18 - $160.

I don't know 100% whether I want tincs or leucs, but, from reading through tons of other posts, it seems I would be looking at a pair of tincs either way. How many leucs would I be able to do? I would also like to try to create a significant enough deep water area to keep a small school of tetras which would push me the direction of the 36. Although this will be cut out quickly if I can't figure out a way to do it safely. The frogs are the priorty, the fish would be a fun bonus

Basically all things considered, if the larger habitat won't allow for additional frogs I will likely nix the deep water right now and save the $80. Any thoughts, comments, or ideas are very much welcome. Thanks all

I personally would do leuc's simply for the fact that they do well in groups. Female tincs will fight. In the 18x18x24 you can maybe do 3-4 adults without it getting over crowded. Not sure on the 36x18x18.

I have both of those species and here's my thought...

I have a trio of adult Leucs in a Exo Terra 18x18x24 and they have plenty of room. I believe even four Leucs would be comfortable in that size. I have ledges and horizontal branches and the frogs utilize every inch of the viv. I have a 20 gallon tall with a pair of D. azureus and even though I have branches and ledges they tend to stay mostly on the ground, although they do climb up to the heights now and then. I also have three female azureus that are about 10 months old in a twenty gallon long and they're doing fine.

I would go with the 18x18x24 because it would perfect for 3-4 Leucs or a pair of D. azureus.

I can't make a comment about the water feature because I have no experience with them. Personally, I've never wanted to bother with one because between the frogs, their food, and trying to maintain the foliage, all my time is all taken up.
