Hi All,

Opinions on extending my mist king ( deluxe unit) - currently running 18 heads/to.... two racks / each 6' feet wide

vs

A 2nd unit ( a starter is 99.00 )


The extension cost would be about 42.00
(3 Y valves, 2 single mist- heads , and 25 ft of tubing) is needed to extend the current

It would then be at the max ( "20 heads " ) recommendation. Including one 10 foot long run to reach the 3rd rack. Yikes!

The problem is not the length of tubing, it is how many heads.
The more heads you have the more flow and lower pressure the system will have.
If you put too many heads in the system there won't be enough pressure to make the heads mist.

As long as you don't exceed the max heads then you should be ok.

i don't ever like to run anything on max capacity I'd say get another deluxe this way you will have an ability to get more.... and more.... and some more .....

I'm leaning towards a 2nd unit?
It will take some stress of the first unit.

hahahaha that is sooo so true! lol

d talking about doomed lol we used to have 6ft long fish tank that we sold a few months ago, we were doing floors and tank was in a way, anyhow, the stand is still there and i'm thinking if i should order terrarium 6'x7' and get somebody in there, i mean the stand is here already right lol

I will agree with Lija on the point that if your pump ever starts to loose pressure over time then a system that has the max amount of heads might start to fail and drip instead of mist.

Having the extra capacity is not a bad thing.
So I would spend the few extra bucks and have room for expansion later.
