I am just curiouse as my larger frog *suspect strongly F 1 month old chorus frog / spotted * has shed recently and I dropped a few crickets yesterday per norm, but only a few since she had shed and was told they eat the skin. And she may or may not eat right away. She has indeed not eaten the few I put in. What is the normal time between eating and sheds Im just curiouse thanks
Good question Kara! Well, your situation has not happened to me; but guess if feeding daily, one or two days after frog ends it's shedding .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I was feeding weekly but now that its just Leo every 3 days she ate after about 4 days and at least w her some documents say 2-4 crickets every 2-4 days for chorus frogs. I want to get her a tank mate so much
Wow, that's interesting! I had not know that some frogs won't eat after a shed. My frogs shed almost daily in the summer months but they are young still and still growing. They have never turned down food. I have fed them hours after they shed and the only difference is that they only ate about half as much, but still ate. I hope you can get her back on track, she sounds like she just was not hungry that day. When ever I had a frog that would not eat in the past, i would just try daily to get them to eat. Some times you can trick them into attacking the insect with some clever movements. Hope she eats regularly for you soon. Best wishes!
