Hi all, I have a friend of a friend here in northern Alabama with a small koi pond. I am not sure how big the koi are but, she lives in the city so the pond can't be that big. She found out I had several tree frog tads and requested to buy some from me. I wouldn't charge, HOWEVER, I'm confident the koi would eat my little guys. She's wanting frogs and I'd like to ask the forum what type of tads she could get to live harmoniously with her koi. Any ideas? Thanks! Jill
The tads or frogs should be larger than the fish to be safe. Keep in mind though that larger frogs could also eat the fish. I think I'd avoid either.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll pass it on.![]()
I realise that you essentially have your answer, but just thought I'd add:
Koi are opportunistic omnivores, and will eat almost anything they can get in their mouths. Actually, they almost vacuum-feed, sucking up whatever's in front of them and shooshing out anything inedible. I wouldn't put *anything* in a koi pond, except other koi.
(Koi are an introduced pest where I live, and they destroy native species and habitats, so we have plenty of information available on their Dark and Nefarious Ways.) *L*![]()
