Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has tried a non contact laser thermometer to measure temperatures in their vivariums? I just purchased the Raytek MT6 from amazon. It gives temps in Fahrenheit or Centigrade. I can see the usefulness if you have several vivariums. I only have one but still find it useful and accurate. Just thought I'd throw this question out to see if anyone is using this. Take care froggers.

Hello and welcome to FF! Yes, some of us do; although in reality they are not 'laser" but remote infrared thermo readers. They are a bit costly; but do read fast and avoid necessity of having multiple thermometers or sensors. So no one gets confused; the Raytek MT6 and other models use a laser beam to point where it's reading, not to read with it.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
they are very accurate. most of the time with in a tolerance of 1 degree
