Been planing to set-up a tree frog enclosure and since had a 29G aquarium set-up, traded the whole thing (minus stand) for one of Tetras Deluxe ReptoHabitat Enclosures. That way could use my stand and have the convenience of front doors and a built in drain for a false bottom. Well get home with it today and first thing I notice is that it's only 16 in. tall versus a regular 29G aquarium that is almost 19 in. tall. The other measurements match OK so it will fit my stand. It's actual dimensions give around 22-23G so Tetra is actually mis-advertising this product.
So my question is; should I keep a tree frog in this tank? If building a false bottom to take advantage of drain, the actual usable height is going to be somewhere around 14 in. or even slightly less. Could I keep a White Tree Frog Litoria caerulea in it? If not what would be a good tree frog for this enclosure? Thank you!

nope not for a whites, but it is awesome for a pixie as i've heardi just wonder how well does it hold water?
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
yeah, they always say whatever you wanna hear, i wonder if that is true though.
lol I'm sure dart frog people will say get darts, but I'd say get a pixieor tomato or salamander, they are so funny

You could do some smaller Hyla species in there. I will add that I had an adult whites in a ten gallon horizontal for years and he was happy as can be. I did on occasion take him out and allow him to explore by climbing on me but other then that he was just fine. I would not suggest this to a new keeper however.
10 gal for a 3.5"-4" frog is a prison, but Richard has a point - what about mossy or milks? they should be ok in there and you can make it all pretty with water area and stuff![]()

Thank for ideas guys! Currently looking at a small group of mossy's or hopefully a single Litoria aurea if can locate them. If those are no go, will probably fall back on Tomato frog which a local shop carries every couple months.
