    Default Cleaning second hand tanks

Hi guys. I'm looking to build a set up for some FBTs (first time owner) and have just bought some second hand tanks. They housed tropical fish before, is there anything special I need to use to clean them, or would a diluted bleach solution do?

These are the tanks, they were only a fiver each!

    Cheers

Good old diluted bleach and a razor to scrape any junk off the glass should do the trick

Cheers, I'll pick up some blades from Wilko tomorrow. The paint is on the outside so I'll leave that as my background will cover it anyway.

    I agree with Matt ........100%

When you are done scraping , fill the entire take with another round of bleach and water. ( not too much bleach) couple caps full.
    Dump out the water
    Rinse thoroughly !
Fill one more time with clean cold water (all the way to the rim) and lots of de-chlorinator......... let it sit....sit.....sit, so that all the bleach is cleared from around the silicone.

    Easy !

    Have fun!
