Walmart's fishing sections have cups of worms for $3 packed in peat moss. I get the 30 european nightcrawlers but they also have Canadian, which are bigger, but only 18 in a cup. If I had a pacman, (i don't, but the worm topic brought me over there, as i had the same question months ago), I'd try that water method. Sounds like fun. I'm sure he'll take worms again after a while... Banjo had some bad ones I think and didn't want them for a week or so. She saw it and got scared and peed, then ate it anyway. Now she loves them again. Go figure. And crickets are the 1st thing that really caught her attention when I 1st got her and she was stressed and not really eating. Cheap compared to all the other bugs I ordered that she ignored. Frogs love chasing them, but I'm no good at it. If they end up drowning and/or washing their supplements off by jumping into the water, or you're still worried about too much dirt ingestion, try a smooth-sided bowl they can't climb out of. I keep suggesting this for people, but metal cat food bowls (the deep one, only $1 again at walmart) would work for a few large crickets. They probably have a larger one in dog aisle. Place him next to it and he'll probably eat em up while they're trying to climb out. Crickets aren't very bright, and all the extra movement from reflections might help get his attention.
*never mind, maybe that's just pyxies that the water method works with. worth a shot tho (maybe?), as long as the water isn't too warm.
