What are those nasty worms that frogs don't like when the worms slime them?

Those are a type of composting worm. Sold as Red Wigglers they secrete a kind of toxin that is foul tasting and has a foul odor. Used to deter animals from eating them. Now frogs are not affected by the toxin other than smell and taste, but the worms only secrete it when injured or they feel threatened. As long as you don't cut them and rinse them off with dechlorinated water pror to offering them the frog can eat them and have no ill effects.

They are poisonous to some other animals such as Garter Snakes, but even Night Crawlers are bad for them.

I dust earthworms with calcium, but reptivite really doesn't work well. It seems to kill mine. Shaking them up in the powder gets them all wiggling around, then i put it on a plastic plate. Works great, tho a little bit of ecoearth that they may bring onto the plate with them and maybe swallow will just be passed in the poop, nothing to worry about.
