Hi Jason, how is your Red-Eyed Leaf Frog doing? Mine finally came out of it, skin is back to normal but he is really skinny and a little worse for wear. He has 7 more days of treatment so hopefully he will fatten up and be fine.

Well. We lost the battle today. I had to put him to sleep. Poor little guy was not eating anymore and suffering too much. This is the only part of keeping animals that I don't deal with very well.

The meeting was lightly attended. We went out to the vernal pool on the property to find stuff. Rick Roth managed to find spotted salamander eggs there. Rick has surveyed this pond before, but this is the first time he has found evidence of salamander activity in it.

He also brought with him some vernal pond breeders to show, a wood frog, gray treefrog, blue-spotted salamander, spotted salamander, and marbled salamander.

We also took a look at the run-of ditch and saw tadpoles and some eggs. Not sure of the ID's of the tadpoles. The eggs looked Bufonid in nature.
