There are a lot of people in my area that breed quail so they are fairly cheap.
I'm going to start buying chicks from a local hatchery to use as a staple food for Keroro since nightcrawlers bore him and roaches no longer make a dent in his appetite. I have read that nutritionally they are very healthy and better for them than chickens. However I'm wondering how often I should feed these to him. Was thinking once a week? I'm sure he would eat many more than that given the chance, but I don't want him getting obese.

Is there anyone here who uses quail chicks as a staple who would like to chime in?
