1) Here is the 12x12x12 I purchased, it was second hand and was built for a tarantula. I cleaned it out, and started fresh for some dart frogs.
2) After much thought, I decided that 12x12x12 was just too small. So I bought some 4'' acrylic sheets and started to make an expansion. He is the expansion sitting on top of the old tank, with it's 3d background (foam, silicone and eco-earth)
3) Tank almost done, both halves silconed together, 3d background extended. It now looks like one tank, instead of two halves. Here is a picture of the profile, were I painted the outsides with black-board paint, giving off a 'silhouette' feel, while hiding the imperfections.
4) Finally this is the 'finished' product, painted and with lighting. Plants are on their way, fruit flies are being cultured and spring tails will be planted in the substrate soon
I'd appreciate any feedback or concerns.
