I have a 4 month pacman that just won't try nightcrawlers or anything besides crickets for that matter. I am recently trying to feed nightcrawlers to my pacman because for some reason he stopped eating crickets for a week so I thought maybe he was getting tired of them. If any of you guys have any tips or tricks to getting these guys to eat let me know.
If he won't try them on his own wait until he is shedding and when he does the yawning action while swalloeing his shed skin slip the worm in his mouth. He may like them then and start eating them. Another suggestion is to buy some Hornworms(Goliath Worms) let them grow to a good size for your frog and offer them to him. These seem to spark appetite in some frogs.
Hello and welcome to FF! Sometimes frogs stop eating because there is something wrong with their health or their enclosure. Please take a look at this good care article and see if anything is amiss or requires tweaking: Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
oh tasty tasty hornworms, mine go crazy, even these who are on a hunger strike or just not in mood! even one of my cresties loves them, that is given cresties are not supposed to eat worms lol
welcome to the forum by the way! we would love to see your frog![]()
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
