Yeah, that's a nice enclosure you got there! I'm sure your toad loves it! I see you have a pine cone in the cage, that's weird because yesterday I put a pine cone in my toads cage too!

lol thanks. I put the pine cone in there so it wouldn't try to dig in that corner. Zalt likes to do that because it thinks it can dig itself out if he(or she, i still don't know) digs in the corners.

Also it's kinda hard to tell if it likes the enclosure cause all it does is either borrow in the middle of the tank or under the hides and hardly moves around. It is a very lazy toad lol. I hope if i put another toad in there it will become more active.

Well, you can't expect much from a nocturnal creature. If you feed him/her in the morning for a couple of weeks it will become active in the morning. I'm good at telling toad gender. Just get a picture of it's throat and post it, you can tell their gender from the color of their throat.

Telling from your profile picture though, Zalt is probably a female. You can tell from the thickness/skinniness of their legs. However, it's near impossible to tell their gender when they're young.

Huh. You usually tell the gender by their front legs. I dunno. I'm not a scientist! :P

Cool, thanks! But yeah, judging by throat color, Zalt is a female! I have never found a male toad. Lola, the one in my avatar is also a female.

Zalt the female toad lol and yeah all the toads i caught last year all had the same color throat has Zalt minus the young ones i had. Its weird that most the toads you find are females.
