Hello Everyone!
This is my first post. I generally keep fish however, I have had a frogs before and have decided to build a new one.
My first question would be, does it matter glass or acrylic?
Secondly, I am trying to decide on what material to use to build a background. In my readings, I have seen the use of cat litter (clay), great stuff, and concrete of some sort. What are the positives and negatives of each? How does each hold up to constant moisture or a waterfall/river of some sort? Also, which will be lightest when cured?
I think that is all the questions I have for now.
Thanks for any information that can be provided.
Terence
Hello Terence,
Welcome to Frog Forum !
Go with glass!
The list of materials to make backgrounds is a mile long.
You have suggested ... all good materials.
I'll suggest taking your time and do as much research as possible prior to starting.
Reading lots of posts here in the Vivarium, Terrarium & Enclosure Discussion would be a great start as there are hundreds of awesome builds with very detailed instructions.
Check out YouTube videos - there are great demos!
