Okay, I know they're insects because I looked at them through a microscope, and I think mites are Arachnids, so it can't be mites, but lately every thing I've researched says that they're springtails. But seriously, there are thousands in there, are they seriously harmless?

To be sure that they are springtails and search for Photos in Google,when you have Been sure that they are springtails you can leave them with your toad because they eat your toad poop,bacteria and fungus that is in your terrarium.
