Does anyone know if I can confuse my red eyed tree frogs so there up during the day and asleep at night or is is a bad thing to do
Well, it probably isn't too healthy, I would not recommend doing that. If you want diurnal frogs, a good pick would be poison dart frogs.![]()
Yes but they are very high maintenance and I have no Idea how to transfer fruit flys from there enclosure to the dart frogs

Hi Anthony,
You can do it by adjusting their daytime and nighttime temps along with their lighting. You will not be able to adjust the barometric pressure changes of the weather and Earth's rotation (day/night shifts). It can be accomplished though. I actually feel it is best to keep their normal habits and sleep cycles as they would naturally.
Do you have red eyes now?
I just wanted to also mention that some species of dart frogs are likely easier than you may think, if you can set-up a fogger. You can buy flightless fruit flies. All you have to do is hold the ff container over or in the frog enclosure and tap a few in. Even when doing supplements, just tap some into a baggie with a pinch of supplement, give a gentle shake to coat and then tap them in. Just something to keep in mind.
Here is an article from joshs frogs if you'd like to read it.

Yes I do have 2 red eyes right now male and female which I'm going to try to breed over the summer I have the monsoon rs 400 but flightless fruit flys mean they don't fly right as well at dart frogs are kinda expensive also at my pet store I don't think that they sell fruit flys (petsmart) also I have to breed them whack meansMaggots which are pretty gross am I right ?
With the fruit fly cultures, everything is in the container. You mix up to powdered food which makes a paste. It is put into the bottom of the container. Add coffee filter papers of excelsior strings for the flies to climb on. Then add fruit flies from a previous culture. Wait about 2 weeks and you'll have more flies. It's not bad at all.

For your red eyes, you could try turning the lights off a bit early each night, say around 7:00 pm, and they may a little earlier to eat once used to the new schedule if you'd like to watch them. It would have to be consistent though.
Mine seem to know when 9:00 is no matter what, and they are ready and waiting for dinner.
I have both red eyes and dendrobates tinctorius cobalts. I actually think my darts are easier. And, no stinky crickets for them, lol!But I love both species just as much.
