I have 2 whites dumpy tree frogs that I had got at different times within a month of each other at petsmart that I'm trying to breed but then I thought if one is Indonesian and ones Australian so I got a bit mad because I was wondering even if one may be Indonesian and one Australian will they still breed?????
i had though about this because I saw that the female had more big round pads well the male had more smaller round pads. can someone please help me because like I had said before I want to breed them.
They are the same species, just different localities. They can still breed, but you will need to do a LOT of research before attempting it. There will be lot of tadpoles with a lot of specific care needs.
Yes I have been doing lots but here's the thing I think that my male is too young to croak yet because he hasn't yet as we'll as my female croaks back to the sound of low music that I play on the piano am I correct here's a pic of male and female side by side

I don't keep whites, but as far as I know, ONLY males croak. Ever. If your female is croaking she might not be a she. What kind of research are you doing exactly? Like what kind of information have you been searching for?
If your "female" croaks and your "male" doesn't than you've got their sexes switched around.

No whites dumpy females are one of the only frogs that will reply back to the male call it is cool sounding like a wonk
No females are known to croak to respond to the males call
Left female right male
Is the throat expanding when it is calling? Also have to checked for nuptial pads?

Thanks for sharing the video Lynn, i knew females of sone species made sounds to show they were interested but didn't think any of then actually sounded like a croak. Still just seems kinda odd to me that the female is quick to respond to the piano but not a peep from the other. You'd think hearing a receptive female calling would set him off

That's one thing I thought to
Yes the one that croaks which i think is a female has the big round pads well the one that doesn't has the small pads which I think is a male am I right?
Ok let me just make this worded easier it doesn't mater size right? One has big pads well the other doesn't
we don't mean toe pads when we say nuptial pads. I do t believe size of toe pads is a definite way of sexing. Nuptial pads are kinda like a brown mole on the inner edge of the males "thumbs" they develop these after reaching serial maturity and are used to help hold onto the female when he's amplexing her
