    Default Repti Fogger question!

What is the best way to have this get humidity in the tank? I don't want to stuff it under the screen top and it sits up funny. should I cut a hole in the top? What is the best and effective way to do this?

Many ads show the fogger placed through a hole that has been cut in the screen top and this can be done, but Injust position the tube to where it sits on the screen top and the opening points down. This way the fog just passes through the screen top and into the tank. Works fine this way. Be sure to use distilled water with the fogger so it will last longer, but remember distilled water is only to bebused for foggers and misting.

We have an Exo-Terra tank and we jammed the hose in the very back of the top where the holes are for your wires. It works perfect and the top closes just fine!

We used to have ours sitting on top like that and we had a coaster that fit around the hose that would weight it down so it wouldn't fall but then I realized that the mesh was rusting because the water would set on it.

Strange I haven't had that issue yet.
I guess since mine only comes on once and a great while it drys up before any rust can form.
And I use a hygrotherm HT-10 controller that switches off and on the fogger as needed so that also will
help extend the life of the water supply and diminish the chance of rust forming.

Since I am keeping a packman I keep the substrate moist and that keeps the humidity up and the fogger
    takes up the slack.

Every time I clean out his water bowl I check the substrate and add water if it is getting dry.

And on my tall exo terra that I have my Bio-luminescent mushrooms growing.
I have that thing sealed up kinda tight. and I just looked at where the fogger output tube is and yes it does have some rust.

I think I might get one of my friends that does 3D printing to make a manifold to pass though the holes in the back.
Or just replace the screen with stainless.
