Kinda hard to see, but going by these pictures and your location, I'm willing to guess California tree frog. "Pseudacris cadaverina" But I could be wrong????
Hi,
Me and my daughter found a big puddle that was almost dry and had lots of tadpoles in it. We were able to get 3. After a few days only one was left and he is doing very well. We fed him fish food and boiled lettuce. Took him about a month to get his legs and arms and we then transferred him to, what the petstore calls, a reptile carrier. As soon as he got in there he hopped out of the water and started doing tiny hops. After a few days his tail went away and we started feeding him flightless fruit flys (of which we have wayyyyyy to many of).
Anyway, here is some pictures. We have no idea what kind it is. Ideas?
Here is from when he started to hop out to today. THe last one is his house for now.

Keep in mind that babies often have not yet grown into their full patterns and colors so they may change a bit as they grow up.

Welcome!
It is really amazing to get eggs and see how they develop. I have done with both toads and frogs, leaving back in the nature when they become small adults.
