I just cant tell if my frog is male or female. it does weigh 130 grams though. it s fat. what would ave adult males and females weigh?
for better identification a picture may be needed but if its a pacman frog, males are usually
an inch or two smaller than females and call (sounds like a duck almost) females are usually larger.
if its a south african pixie, it will most likely reach lengths of 8 or more inches and sometimes call
(sounds like a water buffalo's moo) and females are about half this size. these are what i think
your frog may be but a picture would help.
- edmonds, frogs and toads
-barlett & Barlett, frogs toads and tree frogs

oh, sorry. it s a tomato frog. never heard it croak. but its not really red either. i m not sure how to post a pic from my i pad
ok, if its a tomato frog, females will be around four inches in snout to vent length and
males will be around two to three inches. males are usually orangeish and have mild
red coloing while females are really red all over. i have a male tomato frog. the one
pictured isnt mine but here's a picture of a pair in amplexis (mating) im not sure
how heavy tomatoes get at adult size.
