You can get glass if you want or you can buy pieces of Plexiglass to cover the lid with. If you need a quick fix just cover 3/4 of the screen top with Saran Wrap(plastic wrap) to help maintain heat and humidity within the enclosure.

I'll just cover half the top with saran wrap for now, thanks!
