    Default New ABF concerns

I just bought an african bullfrog last Saturday. http://www.frogforum.net/african-bul...tml#post182958

At the petstore he was setup in a very small cage with coco fibre substrate and a large waterbowl. At home I set him up almost identical (except larger), I even had the same water bowl. His tank is in an area that doesn't see much foot traffic. First day he circled his tank and tried to climb out all day, then at the end of the day he buried himself completely underneath the water bowl. The next day he was not buried but still freaked out. Today he is still trying to climb out and is not interested in food.

Is this normal? Will he settle soon? I feel bad for him

Frog is stressed , probably due to transfer and change of enclosure. What is frog size (SVL) and enclosure size? Do you have all sides but front covered? Are all parameters correct? Have you released frog to new home and avoid all handling until it recognizes you as a non-threat? Hope it calms down soon .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

SVL is almost 4". He is currently in a 10 gallon aquarium. I plan on putting him in either a 15g or 20L soon. I have all sides including the front covered right now. The only time I handled him was when I first got him, to take pics and weigh him and then I put him in the tank and have not touched him since.

The parameters are correct, I read the care sheet on here. The tank seems ok for his size now and the temps in the tank are around 80-82.

    Thanks
