It sure is pretty. If no one manages to ID it, it might help to find out where it originated from. I'd contact the pet store and find the name of their supplier and so on down the line.
Good luck and please keep us posted if you have success!

Wow i didnt know how cute frogs can be. This little fella is so adorable. i hope you can figure out what exactly he is so you can provide the right care.
very pretty! no idea what that is, but gut feelings says you scored high on that one. It is for sure a tree frog, so for now I'd house it as such, vivarium, humidity, plants, branches, UVB, food size accordingly, ca, multivitamins. I'd email pic to universities, herpetologists, etc. that frog is very rare one as it seems. and for sure try to find origin through pet store.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
please share this page so we can find out what species this may be. I have continued to research on line and have not found a single picture in witch the frog looks similar.
Thanks-Dan

no tigers don't have that coloration on a back, it is plain green and head shape is different, the body type though reminds me of such of a foam nest frog, but coloration is not right for that... i think I'm gonna look further for that one, you got me very interested, would you take some more pics of it please and under natural lightening if possible.
edit - can i use you pic to send to a few people?

This is a species of African Reed Frog. Hyperolius Marmorata if I'm not mistaken. There are several different phases of the Marmorata so ID'ng them is tricky but I'm certain this is a species of Hyperolius from Africa.
(SITE UNDER RECONSTRUCTION, LAUNCHING SOON!)
It looks like Hyperolius marmoratus to me.
It looks like Hyperolius marmoratus to me - a very variable species.
