In nature melanism can occur in 7% of a population of certain animals. This makes them black/mainly black. There is a melanistic Gabar Goshawk (small bird of prey) that frequents my garden.. he is all black apart from white stripes on his tail. Can this occur naturally in amphibians? If albinism and leuticsm can occur naturally then its guaranteed that melanism can too. I understand that these in the discussion are bred.. but does anyone know, or heard of of any natural occurances (sorry english spelling issues again lol) of any of these mutations in any frog species? I'm rather curious
