Hello and welcome to FF Leon! Very nice projects you've got going in there. Please do continue to keep us updated on them. There is a forum section called "Fieldwork" where you can post similar work. Gracias!
Hi,
My name is Leo, i'm new here in the forum and just wanted to share some pictures of my different projects with leaf frogs. I'm from Costa Rica so i have been lucky enough to see and help some of this frogs in their natural environment. A couple of years ago i started a project with the frog Agalychnis annae, this frogs were very common to see in coffe plantations just some miles away from where i live but now due to urbanization their population has decreased. Fortunately i found a coffe plantation rarely visited so i placed a tank in the ground and wait some days until the rain filled it, some months later i visited the area at night and i found around four males calling above the tank, the next day in the morning i found around five egg masses overhanging the tank, now you can visit this place and see the tank full of tadpoles all over the year, i also breed a group of this frogs last month in captivity and now i have around 300 tadpoles that will be released to this place later. Now i'm currently working with a group of A callidryas with the same purpose, also got a couple of Cruziohyla calcarifer last week that i will be trying to breed too, will be uploading some pictures of C calcarifer probably tomorrow.

Hi Leo,
This is an amazing story and effort to help two precious tree frog species.
We would, of course, love to continue to see your photos and hear all about this.
I can not imagine having the opportunity to find myself in a coffee plantation surrounded by A annae ( wow) !
Have you had a chance to see this thread- great photos !
