    Default Shelving for Tanks

I'm looking to buy a shelving unit to put my tanks on and was wondering if any members had recommendations or experience doing this kind of thing. So far, I've found these particular units which look like they would do the job. But I don't want to buy something, set it up, and then have it collapse or be shaky with my animals on it.

Get the Gorilla Rack Shelf Z-Beam Unit for less at Walmart.com. Save money. Live better.

ive seen that type of racking used before for dart frogs and seems to work!, we use it in work for much heavier weights and it seems to be fine. Personally i would try to find a local store with some set up and give it a shake, or buy it and if its not up to scratch send it back say your not happy with it?

    Great

If I do buy from one of those sites, I'll probably do the whole "site-to-store" option, so I'll have somewhere to return it to if it's not working out well.
    Thank you for the input!

I had a racks like those. They are very heavy. They look like they wouldn't be but they are. They can hold a lot too. It should give you a weight limit on the box. But for just tanks of frogs it will be fine. The only problem with mine was I didn't have enough room to go into the top of my tank once it was on the shelf. So keep in mind you will need extra room at the top of each tank to get your hand in there for feeding and such. Also enough room to fit hoods or lamps. If you have tanks that have doors on the front then that isn't an issue.

Just something to keep in mind when you start measuring things.

If had the space and need would get this industrial one available at Costco or hardware stores: TRINITY EcoStorage. Got me two smaller ones (36L x 12D x 48H in.) for $40 ea. without wheels at local Costco and they hold my frog, spiders, and roach bins fine .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
