Hello, I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I have three Green Tree Frogs and have had them about 9 months. They are great and I love them. They are all very different in their behaviors. The biggest of the three has taken to sitting in the water fountain all day! He/she (not sure which) moves at night when they are all active but tends to spend all day (when they sleep) in the water fountain. This is probably fine but wanted to check that it wasn't a sign of "something".
Thanks in advance for any help on this.![]()
Hello Wendy and welcome to FF! That is one cute and healthy looking frog! Sometimes captive animals will do all kinds of things; like sleeping under a waterfall!
Wonder if you have camera available that can take slower exposures (maybe 1/4 to 1/2 sec.); that would make for a nice photograph for monthly contest.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Thanks for the reassurance. I thought it was ok but any thing strange they start to do is a worry. It's so funny, when she comes out there's a line across her back where she's two different shades of green due to the dark/light environment. I've now decided she's a female as she's bigger than the other two. I'll have a go at taking a better picture.

So long as your humidity level in the tank is good, it's fine. She may just want a nice refreshing soak. My female red eye used to sit in the side edge of her tall waterfall and my bullfrog loves to sit right under his waterfall cascade. Silly kids!

Humidity at 67 at 10am this morning. Does that sound ok?
