Re: Completed naturalistic African Bullfrog setup
Love it!! What kind of substrate is that? I like how it looks.
Re: Completed naturalistic African Bullfrog setup
Re: Completed naturalistic African Bullfrog setup
Thanks - its a mix of ZooMed "excavator" substrate and red sand.

Re: Completed naturalistic African Bullfrog setup
Looks awesome, I thought about trying it as well until I read on in the instructions that impactions can occur and this stuff may act like cement in their gut?
Re: Completed naturalistic African Bullfrog setup
Re: Completed naturalistic African Bullfrog setup
it all looks good, but I don't think that substrate is a good idea, switch to fine coconut fiber ( exo earth, plantation soil) and cover 3 sides of the enclosure with something.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

Thank you for the feedback - yes I would like to get some kind of background. Anyone know a source for photos of flooded African grasslands? As for the substrate, I've been using it for quite a while without any problem. What little amounts are ingested have been passed without incident. She generally feeds inside the water dish anyway.
