    Talking New member!!!

Hey everyone, My name is Jennifer and I just joined this forum! I've had my Red-Eyed Tree frog for just under a year now and he's a little darling! I wanted to ask if it would be beneficial to him to get 1 or 2 more red eyes or if this species would rather be alone?

    Welcome Jennifer ,

Yes, red eyes enjoy the company of other red eyes. You can add 1 frog per 10 gallons of living space.

Of course, a minimum of a 30 day quarantine is recommended for any new frog to be sure they are in good health with no disease and are eating and behaving properly, before adding them in with yours.

That's funny, I was thinking the exact same thing as Lija...pretty frog and I love your manicure .

thanks for the warm welcome! Don't get too excited about the Manicure, they're just Press-Ons! I groom dogs so spending all that money on a professional manicure isn't very cost effective! I destroy my nails within a week!

So would you say I could keep 2 or 3 in a 18x18x18 Exo terra? I want to pick the 24 tall one but for now this is the one I've got!

I was thinking about picking up an Albino at Hamburg, and a Melanistic(black) red eyed tree frog from a breeder, but the Black one would only be 1.5 inches long so I'd probably need to keep that one alone until it got a little bigger right?

Hello and welcome to FF Jennifer! In the 18 in. cube can keep 2 (it's around 24 gallons) and in the 24 in. tall can keep 3. If the Melanistic is smaller an it fits in other frogs mouth it could be eaten. Also, it could grab less than it's fare share of crickets or just be stressed to point it's health declines.

Your frog has great colors and those are nice pics too; should enter forum's monthly photo contest .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
