My first pyxie. Not sure if he/she is a giant or dwarf. Love this frog to death, eats bugs like a hobo on a ham sandwich. Had him/her for about 3 weeks now and I can't wait for it to grow up!!!

Looks like a Giant to me, but the pictures are pretty dark. Does the frog have blue coloring on the front and hind legs?
I'm not so sure about it being giant, we need better pics, it might be tanzanian one, in a first pic it looks like giant, but in the rest of the pics it does not.
at any rate these 2 species will grow big.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
I agree.but in the rest of the pics it does not.
Cookedlion where did you get it from?
Agree with Lija in that the Tanzania morph (not a described species yet) does grow large with males reaching 7 in. According to Vosjoli P. and Mailloux R. (2012) Giant African Bullfrogs Life History and Captive Husbandry. Advanced Visions, Inc., CA USA.; Tanzania ABFs froglets have a zig-zag patterned dorsal line while the pics provided show a straight line.
If not a Giant, maybe it's a P. angusticeps from Mozambique (http://www.frogforum.net/african-bul...us-status.html).
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I have been looking for one since forever, a friend of mine actually spotted it for me knowing that I had been wanting one. She got it from petsmart. Hopefully these pics are better, I dwell in the basement and the lightings not so good down here. It does have blue coloring behind the front and back legs.

Blue coloring behind the front and back legs suggests Giant. There is no evidence of a cross between species or whether it can even be done so it may appear not to be a Giant in appearance, but we shall see. Not a lot is known of the Tanzanian Pyxi or even the Pyxicephalus angusticeps so we may not be able to accuratly establish species here.
One thing is for sure. The blue is an accurate way to tell a Giant because the dwaf species lack this coloring. So far the Tanzanian species we've been seeing here lately do not have this blue coloring so unless its a cross between the two I'm going to stick with Giant.
would you please do one more shot, a frog from front, eye level.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
100% P. Adspersus and 99% sure a female.
Sorry guys its been awhile. I've been away and just got back a few hours ago. Here are some new pics.
I agree with Daniel. Looks like a healthy female.
